Sample holder for thick-walled samples:
The special sample holder (ID No. 56077987) is 135 mm x 45 mm
large and can hold samples with a thickness of up to 15 mm.
The special sample holder can be used in the synchronous
or rotating modes but is only designed for single-sided loa-
ding.
Loading the sample holder for thick-walled samples,
Fig. 20:
1. Remove the two wing nuts 4, then remove the retai-
ning panel 1 and the cover panel 3 from the sample
holder 5.
2. Cut the sample 2 to size and place it onto the samp-
le holder 5. If required, place the cover plate 3
between sample and sample holder.
3. Place the retaining panel 1 onto the sample backsi-
de so that the grub screws are routed in the groove
7 and 8. Secure the retaining panel to the sample
holder using the wing nuts.
4. Insert the sample holder into the sample holder
retainer 6.
NOTE - Surface temperature:
Certain standards require that samples
have backing materials. These materials
can influence the surface temperature of
the samples.
Sample holder for blue light scale, Fig. 21:
The blue light scale sample holder (Id.-Nr. 56050873) is
supplied for the Xenotest
®
150 S+ with the ring top 1.
Sample holder for blue light scale loading, Fig. 21:
1. Gently pull the side clip 5 outward.
2. Remove the inner blue light scale retainer 7 out of
the sample holder 6 from the bottom.
3. Load the retainer with blue light scale samples and
secure them using the supplied clips.
4. Reinstall the blue light scale retainer into the sample
holder and secure it by engaging the clips 5.
5. Place the ring top 1 onto the sample holder. Align the
holes 2 at the ring top with the holes 3 at the samp-
le holder.
6. Secure the ring top 1 to the sample holder 4 using
the two screws.
7. Insert the blue light scale sample holder into the
sample holder retainer 8.
