9.3 Service
WARNING - Electric shock!
Contact with voltage-carrying components
may cause a lethal electric shock.
Prior to service works, disconnect the in-
strument from the power supply system!
• Switch the instrument off using the master
switch.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the socket
and protect it from accidental reconnection.
• Check to see if the instrument is de-energized.
Cleaning the air filters:
The air filters for lamp cooling and test chamber cooling
must be cleaned every six months.
Clean the filters in a solution of tepid water and some mild
detergent and rinse it thoroughly.
In case of stubborn dirt, tap the filter mat clean, vacuum it or
blow it clean using a soft compressed air jet, then clean it in
water.
Replacing the air filters:
After the filters have been cleaned twice, they have to be re-
placed.
Removing / installing the lamp cooling air filter, Fig. 36:
1. Open the right instrument door 1 and turn the lock
screws using a screwdriver.
2. Pull the filter 3 to the right out of the mounting 2.
3. Push the filter into the mounting.
4. Close the instrument door.
Removing / installing the test chamber cooling air filter,
Fig. 37:
1. Open the left instrument door and turn the lock
screws using a screwdriver.
2. Pull the filter 1 up and out of the mounting 2.
3. Push the filter down into the mounting.
4. Close the instrument door.
