Routing Track Input/Output
You can route track I/O using the Channel Encoders or Channel Control.
Using the Channel Encoders
To route track input or output using the Channel Encoders:
1 Select a track. If several tracks are selected, make sure the track you want to adjust is attentioned.
2 Do either of the following:
• To assign track input, press
Input.
• To assign track output, press
Surface SHIFT + Pan/Mix.
The channel displays show the current input or output assignments for the banked tracks.
3 Press the Channel Encoder for the track you want to assign. Channel Mode is enabled, and the leftmost channel displays show
the available types of input sources (
interface, bus, or plug-ins) or output destinations (output or bus) for the selected track.
4 Under the display showing the desired input or output type, rotate the corresponding Channel Encoder until the desired input or
output appears in the display.
5 Press the corresponding Channel Encoder In switch to assign the selected input or output. A lit Channel Encoder In switch in-
dicates assignment.
6 To reassign, rotate the Channel Encoder until the desired input or output appears and press the Channel Encoder In switch.
7 To exit assign mode, press Surface SHIFT + Flip/Channel.
