3.7 Functions of the multi-function relay z1-z2/z7-z8
3.7.1 Function: Enable z1-z2/z7-z8
Enable for external devices. These detect when the pump can
switch on and signal when the dosing may be active. An
additional pump for water feeding in the pipe system before the
BADU OmniTronic MUST be protected by Z1-z2 (enable).
The “P” setting can be used well for an external dosing device. If
“P” is entered alone under the FIL field in the Enable menu item,
this means that the contact trips when the Filter position is
reached and the pump is switched on.

3.7.2 Function: Heating control
An output contact can be switched if the temperature of the pool
water is too cold (temperature sensor in the pool, input DC4). This
actuates an external device for heating up the water.
A switching hysteresis of +/- 1K of the nominal temperature is
stored. A lag time of 7 seconds is also set for the filter pump in
order not to overload an electric heater for example.
When the heating control is to take effect can be set individually.
For example, a time span from-to can be activated and/or set
“only within the pump filter time”.
Parameters to be input:
Nominal temperature, speed of the pump during heating process,
heating time.

3.7.3 Cooling function
An output contact can be switched if the temperature of the pool
water is too hot (temperature sensor in the pool, input DC4). This
can actuate a ball valve to feed the water through the cool solar
surface, for example at night.
Parameters to be input:
Nominal temperature, speed

3.7.4 Function: Solar control
An output contact can be switched by a temperature sensor from
the pool water (input DC4) and from the solar roof/solar absorber
(input DC5) to heat up the pool water by the sun. For use of the
solar function, a ball valve could be controlled so that the pool
water flows over the solar surface.
The temperature differences and delay times can be set by the
customer and therefore adapted to the solar installation or
season.
