3.3 Operation and function
The BADU OmniTronic is a fully automatic backwash unit. The
electronics (circuit board) automatically take over the control of
the programme sequence i.e. the transition to all six positions:
• Backwash (BW)
• Rinse (RIN)
• Filter (FIL)
• Drain (DR)
• Circulate (CIR)
• Closed
• Off
The filter pump only runs depending on the BADU OmniTronic i.e.
the filter pump has to be controlled by the BADU OmniTronic. The
BADU OmniTronic needs its own permanent power supply. Thus,
due to the internal power supply, backwash and rinse procedures
can be carried out automatically and independently, regardless of
external switching procedures for the filter programme. This is
also possible outside the filter times. During this process, the
BADU OmniTronic takes over the monitoring and control of the
filter pump. This ensures that the pump is turned off during the
switching process and that only the positions “Backwash” and
“Rinse” are turned on. The output to the pump with the
asynchronous motor (Lp, Np) always switches in parallel to the
eco green line pump’s speed levels n1, n2, n3.

3.4 Operation modes, automatic
3.4.1 Interval-automatic operation mode
Backwash start and rinsing take place at an interval of at least 6
hours up to max. 31 days. The backwash start is triggered with
the RS button (hold for 3 seconds). The filter time starts daily after
completion of the backwash process.
3.4.2 Time-controlled automatic operation mode
Backwash start and filter times must be set exactly.
