Suction Caps & Vacuum Ejector

Description of Suction Caps Principle

The suction caps on the SilverWriter are used to pick up the film:

The suction is made by means of compressed air, based upon the Venturi
principle. This is done in the Vacuum Ejector, which has a compressed
air input and a suction line output. A vacuum sensor is mounted on top of
the Vacuum Ejector. The Vacuum Ejector has a permanent compressed air
supply and is activated via switched 24 V DC from the solid state relay panel.

Diagnostics on Vacuum Ejector

The Vacuum Ejector is mounted under the compressed air valves.
Proceed as follows:
  LTL > 128 SFDREL
A relay switches 24 V to activate the vacuum ejector.
This ejector can also be activated by means of the orange push button.
The red LED in the vacuum ejector should be ON.
  LTL > 128 RFDREL
turns off the vacuum ejector
