Installation of RSF encoder
Checking the Material.
Check the radial eccentricity and diameter of the encoder tube.
Check the inside diameter of the encoder disc.
Ensure that there is no dirt, oil or scratches on the surface of the encoder disc.

Tools Required.
• Measuring gauge (max 0.01mm/dev | for measuring radial excentricity)
Mounting of the encoder disc.
1. Wearing gloves take the encoder disc and slide it gently over the encoder tube of
the drum.
2. Position the spoiler of the drum so that it faces the laser beam. Position the
encoder disc so the index face upwards. Ensure that the index on the encoder disc
is at the correct position !!
3. Mount the encoder head with one screw.
4. Do not scratch the surface of the encoder disc when moving the encoder head over
the encoder disc!
