How to update-Install to PowerRip version 2.04 or higher
1. Save the
POWERRIP resource files ‘C:\rip\rdbg\*.res’ , the ‘license file’
(c:\rip\flexlm\license.dat (if already present)) and the ‘Ucam.db’ (if already
present) on diskette or on another system on the network to have a backup of these
important files.
2. Close all open programs.
3. Switch-off the plotter.
4. Check on: Windows NT >start>settings>control panel>services>
Windows 2000 >start>settings>control panel>administrative
tools>services>
If the following services are still running:
• Barco Phifac (it starts up a ‘Hotidle ‘ process in the Task manager)
• FlexLM (it starts up a ‘barco.exe’ process in the Task manager)
If yes, stop them by selecting the service and clicking the black square (Stop
Service) in the toolbar.
