Brief explanation of the laser path adjustment.

Laser: If laser still on: Remove first mirror and make a target at the laserspot(for
example on the wall). Position the new laser so the beam goes through the
first targethole(behind M1) and fall in the second target made by yourself.
If the laser is off: Adjust the laser through the first target. Before removing M2
mark his position. Install "3 holes optical wand" on the position of mirror
2. Adjust with mirror 1 so that the lowest beam is just below the lowest hole
of the "3 holes optical wand" and the highest beam is just above the highest
hole. Distance ‘top hole-top beam’ should be equal to ‘bottom hole-bottom
beam’.
Position of lenses(mounted on laser) should be kept.
Shutter: Check shutter adjustment.
Splitter: Monolitic, so splitter and mirror are one part.
Position the "3 holes optical wand" at modulator position. Lowest and
highest beams should go through lowest and highest holes of the "3 holes
optical wand". If not, you have to adjust the splitter. Measure top and bottom
beams. Both should be around 510uA(depending on the laser intensity). If
there is a to big difference in value you should turn the laser. This because of
the polarization of the laser to the splitter.
Mirror2: Position the “3 holes optical wand” in front of mirror3. Adjust mirror2 so
that all beams are on the correct height. The middle of the six beams should be
in the middle of the “3 holes optical wand” hole. Afterwords you adjust all
beams about 1mm left on the order blokker.
Modulator: Install modulator and find correct hight and angle. Search for a maximum
modulation. Install modulator in the correct way. Check modulation sign.
Modulation towards drum.
Mirror3&4: Position “3 holes optical wand” just after mirror 4 and adjust mirror 3 so
that beams are in the middle of the “3 holes optical wand”. “3 holes optical
wand” just in front of mirror 5 and adjust mirror 4 so the beams are again in
the center of the “3 holes optical wand”.
Mirror5: Install “3 holes optical wand” on the position of the focuslens. Adjust
mirror5 so that all beams are in the center of the “3 holes optical wand”.
Abbe Konig prism: Adjustment to get the correct angle during scank.
Doublet(focus alignment): Adjustment to get the correct beamwidth during scank.
