Installation of lineair scale
The explanation and drawings on the next page are mainly for a BG7304M machine.
The installation of the lineair scale on a SilverWriter is practical the same. Brief
summary on what you have to do if you want to install a lineair scale on a
SilverWriter.
• Take a note on how the scale(=rule) and head was installed and fixed.
• Install the scale on the same position as the previous one. Fix it with the 6
bolts.
• Mount the head and holder at the same position to the carriage as before.
Adjust the top surface of the measuring head to the same heigth of the top
surface of the measuring rule.
• Now, fasten the Measuring Head ( moving part of the measuring rule) and
make sure that the gap between the body of the measuring rule and the
measuring head is exactly 1 mm.
