3.8 Mission Mode
Mission Mode is used during rescue mission.
• The mode has access to all vital data received from rescue beacon and calculates mission
related data.
• The device decodes COSPAS/SARSAT message and supply it in several formats.
• Beacon data can be defined by its protocol type, beacon type, beacon number, TAC (Type
Approval Certificate) number, country code, raw 15HexID.
• The device can also decode and supply user formats. For details on definitions refer to
documents published by COSPAS – SARSAT organization (http://www.cospas-
sarsat.org/en/cospas-sarsat-documentation).
• The device calculates navigation parameters that can by dynamically refreshed during
mission.
