Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) in Beacon/NavPoint constant course view shows angular difference
between:
Constant Course (CRS) - set course with rotary knob (in range 0…359 degrees).
True bearing
In angular mode CDI belongs to range [-90, 90] deg. details see "Figure 44: Mission Mode - CDI,
Angular Mode, Definition for Constant Course (CRS) in Beacon/NavPoint Course View" page 95.
CDI shows valid values only if target and GPS source supply valid data.
CDI value can be calculated in kilometer or nautical miles details see "Figure 45: Mission Mode - CDI,
Distance Mode, Definition for Constant Course (CRS) in Beacon/NavPoint Course View" page 95.
With a long push on rotary knob constant course becomes equal to true bearing.
