2.2.2 Explanations of terms
Owner/user
The owner/user is the contractor/company who/which operates the machine
in accordance with its designated use, or who instructs it to be operated by
specialist personnel as well as personnel who have received training.
Personnel who have received training
Personnel who have received training are personnel who can demonstrate
that they have received training from
Bergmann Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG or in accordance with the tech‐
nical documentation of Bergmann Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG. Per‐
sonnel who have received training are capable of carrying out the work
assigned to them and of avoiding known hazards.
Operator
The operator is the person who has been trained by the owner/user of the
machine and instructed to operate it.
Specialist personnel
Specialist personnel are personnel who, as a result of their technical
training, knowledge and experience as well as knowledge of the relevant
standards and provisions, are capable of carrying out the work that is
assigned to them, as well as detecting possible dangers independently and
avoiding hazards.
