3.21 Responsibility of the owner/user
The owner/user must make sure that the operator has read and understood
the documentation before initial startup.
The owner/user must conduct a hazard analysis of the workplace, and
repeat this at appropriate intervals.
The relevant safety/accident prevention regulations and occupational health
rules as well as the protection recommendations of the professional associ‐
ations and employer's professional liability insurance associations, which
may differ from country to country and/or from association to association,
must be complied with when operating the machine.
3.22 Machine status
Only take the machine into operation if it is in perfect technical condition and
is safe. Prior to each startup, check whether all protection and safety
devices are in place, none are missing and that all are functioning.
Do not make any modifications, add-ons or conversions to the machine
without the manufacturer's approval.
Comply with the intervals specified for maintenance work in the corre‐
sponding documentation.
Pay attention to the possibilities for detecting and fighting fires.
