3.17 Safe working in the vicinity of electric cables
When working in the vicinity of aboveground electrical cables and overhead
lines, the safety distances must be complied with between the lines and the
machine. The safety distances are dependent upon the rated voltage in the
line.
The following safety distances must be complied with:
Rated voltage Safety distance
up to 1000 V (1 kV) 1.0 meters
above 1 kV to 110 kV 3.0 meters
above 110 kV to 220 kV 4.0 meters
above 220 kV to 380 kV 5.0 meters
If the rated voltage is unknown 5.0 meters
