The tensioning device consists of a tensioning cylinder (4) and an elastom‐
eter (3). The caterpillar track is tensioned via the tensioning cylinder (4). If
an overload occurs, the elastometer and thus the guide wheel deflect
inward.
On starting the drive motor, the caterpillar tracks are tensioned automati‐
cally via the tensioning cylinders and relieved of tension again when this is
switched off.
5.2.2 Drive system
The drive system consists of a drive motor (diesel engine) which drives a
tandem pump and, via a coupling, a power-controlled pump combination.
The drive system is located on flexible mounts. The drive system is
equipped with a diesel particulate filter. The fresh air is drawn in via the air
filter and the intake behind the operator's cab. The fuel tank is located
underneath the operator's cab. The filler pipes for fuel and AdBlue are
located behind the toolbox maintenance door.
The pump combination consists of two variable displacement axial piston
pumps and one geared pump. The variable displacement axial piston
pumps supply the working pressure and flow for the travel drives. The
geared pump supplies the machine bodies. The hydraulic consumers are
activated by means of upstream valves and control blocks.
