3.12 Safe working when exposed to noise and vibration
The machine generates a high noise level during normal operation.
As a result, ear defenders must be worn at all times outside the operator's
cab.
Ear defenders are recommended inside the operator's cab.
The ability to converse or communicate in the vicinity of the machine is
severely restricted. To a large extent, the operating personnel must commu‐
nicate with hand signals.
Movements of the machine during operation give rise to vibration in the
entire area of the machine.
3.13 Safe working on mechanical systems
Even though the machine has been designed and built safely, and is
equipped with safety precautions, it can give rise to dangers. This applies
particularly if specified activity sequences and safety precautions are not
complied with. Working according to the regulations protects personnel
against these dangers.
On some components of the machine, there is an increased risk of injury
due to impact with projecting components, cutting on sharp edges of sheet
metal and possible product residues in corners. The danger points are iden‐
tified by warning instructions/pictograms.
Cleaning or maintenance work is never allowed to be carried out when the
machine is running.
