9.2 Carrying out maintenance work
Should defects or malfunctions that pose a risk to the safe operation of the
machine be found during maintenance work, then starting up the machine is
strictly forbidden until the defects/malfunctions have been remedied! The
defects found need to be reported to the owner/user immediately so that
he/she can initiate suitable countermeasures.
The types of work listed in the following sections must be carried out once in
the period of time defined.
Where, for example, daily maintenance is concerned, this will therefore be
required once per day at a convenient time from the company's point of
view.
For maintenance work in accordance with operating hours, the work needs
to be carried out in accordance with the corresponding operating hours.
When maintenance work is carried out, this must be entered in the mainte‐
nance booklet for the machine. The maintenance booklet must be provided
by the owner/user and forms the requirement for any possible warranty
claims.
Until they are used, lubricants must be kept in clean, sealed containers in a
dry and cool place.
In the event of multi-shift operation, it should be determined which person it
going to be carrying out the maintenance work needed.
