• Before the use of connection cables, they have to be checked for the possibility
of gas migration (especially if changes of the ambient and/or operating condi-
tions can occur).
• Connected lines must be strain-relieved.
• Do
not disassemble the detector housing from the detector socket (Fig. 6,
item 3).
• The detectors are to be used exclusively for fixed location installation.
• Devices that were used in "non-hazardous areas" must not be used in hazard-
ous areas.
• The plan for the control of the connection compartment (check list on page 27)
should be completed before commissioning and after each opening of the con-
nection compartment.
• Devices with intrinsically safe circuits may no longer be connected to intrinsically
safe circuits if they were not previously used in an intrinsically safe manner.
