6.4 Operation
• Further operation is not allowed if:
o the detector is damaged.
o threads on the housing are corroded.
o the housing of the detector is heavily corroded.
o sealing plugs are badly corroded or damaged.
o cable glands are corroded or damaged.
o adapters are heavily corroded or damaged.
o seals are damaged and/or have a visible ageing effect or movement.
Protection principle Ex-d/-e/-t / XP
• Do not open the connection compartment while there is voltage
• If an explosive atmosphere is present: Waiting time before opening the elec-
tronics compartment after turning off the supply: 2 minutes.
Protection principle Ex-d/-i/-t
• The housing cover may be opened for a short time for repair and maintenance
purposes.
