Installation and Connection of the Water Cooling Sys-
tem
If the detector is equipped with a water cooling system, the cooling water nozzles
must be aligned so that the water supply lines can be connected freely. Make sure
that the water lines do not run in front of the radiation window. So that no air
pockets form in the cooling water, the detectors must be mounted as follows:

1. Slide the water cooling system (Fig. 45, item 6) with the connection nozzles
pointing forward towards the connection compartment.
2. Attach the water cooling system with the provided screws at the pipe of the
detector.
If the detector is mounted horizontally, the bottom connector (Fig. 45, item 5) must
be used as a water supply.
If the detector is mounted vertically, the connection compartment must be ori-
ented upward, so that the connections are located at the upper end of the water
cooling system.
