7 Troubleshooting
7.1 System Events
A list of all possible device event messages with troubleshooting options is pro-
vided below. Event messages are automatically hidden if the cause of the event is
no longer present. Exceptions are marked in the list. In this case, the event, as de-
scribed in chapter 6.4.7, must be manually acknowledged.
System events can lead to the following system statuses:
• Shutdown
• Failure
• Out of Specification
• Function Check
Shutdown (Namur107: F)
A critical error has occurred. The detector will shut down to prevent damage. The
measurement is stopped.
Failure (Namur107: F)
A serious error has occurred and the accuracy of the measurement results is not
ensured. The measurement is continued.
If the detector is operated with an LB 44x/LB 471 transmitter, then the count rate
is set to 0 by the system status "Failure" in order to signal the system status. In this
case, the measurement is interrupted.
Out of Specification (Namur107: S)
The detector, one of its components or the environmental conditions are not
within the normal specifications. The measurement is continued.
Function Check (Namur107: C)
Indicates that entries are made at the detector or a function check/simulation is
being performed.
