Illuminated (red) during an airplane decompression or overhead flight crew rest
smoke detection.
Push – silences the decompression/smoke alert horn (light remains red).
Push –
• turns entrance enclosure light on (green light illuminated)
• second push turns entrance enclosure light off (green light extinguished)
Guarded switch.
Push –
• over-rides individual lighting controls and turns all the lights in the
overhead flight crew rest on (green light illuminated)
• second push returns individual control and all overhead flight crew rest
lights return to the previous state (green light extinguished)
