5. CHECKING, DISASSEMBLING AND SERVICING
*. PART NAME
1) Hood
2) Battery grounding cord
< Hood, side cover and battery cord >
1. Open the hood(1) and remove.
2. Disconnect the battery grounding cable(2).
3. Disconnect the head light connectors and
remove the hood(1).
▶ NOTE
1) When disconnecting the battery cables,
disconnect the grounding cable(-) first.
2) When connecting, positive cable(+) first.
< Steering wheel >
1. Remove the steering wheel cap.
2. Remove the steering wheel mounting nut and
remove the steering wheel.
▷ Reassembling

48.1 to 55.9 Nm
4.9 to 5.7 kgfm
35.4 to 41.2 ft-lbs
< Meter panel and panel under cover >
1. Tap out the spring pin and remove the hand
accelerator lever(7).
2. Remove the panel under cover(6).
3. Open the meter panel(1) and disconnect the
meter panel connector(2).
4. Disconnect the combination switch connector(3),
main switch connector(4) and hazard switch
connector(5).
