Enabling CFS to Distribute FC Domain Configurations
You can enable CFS to distribute Fibre Channel (FC) domain configurations in order to synchronize the
configuration across the fabric from the console of a single Cisco NX-OS device and to ensure consistency
in the allowed domain ID lists on all devices in the VSAN.
Before You Begin
Make sure that you are in the storage VDC. To change to the storage VDC, use the switchto vdc fcoe command.
Procedure
PurposeCommand or Action
Enters global configuration mode.switch# configure terminal
Step 1
Enables CFS to distribute FC domain configuration
updates.
switch(config)# fcdomain distribute
Step 2
(Optional)
For the specified application, displays the CFS
distribution status.
switch(config)# show application-name
status
Step 3
(Optional)
Saves the change persistently through reboots and
restarts by copying the running configuration to the
startup configuration.
switch(config)# copy running-config
startup config
Step 4
This example shows how to enable CFS to distribute FC domain configurations:
switch(config)# fcdomain distribute
switch(config)# show fcdomain status
fcdomain distribution is enabled
switch(config)# copy running-config startup-config
