8.4.7. Reference Measurements
Now you can proceed to conduct a refe-rence
measurement to calibrate your device for this new
application.
At this point, position your coatmaster® Flex
approximately 5 cm away from the reference
sample and press the trigger button Ⓣ
(see Figure 41: Reference / calibration
measurement).
A reference measurement will be taken, and this
reference measurement will be displayed, with a
calculated thickness value (100 µm), in the
reference list (see Figure 42: References).
To take an additional reference measure-ment
repeat the process.
A maximum of 5 reference measurements can be
created. If more than 3 reference measurements
are available, the algorithm automatically
generates an off-set (see section 8.4.6.).
