Table 13 describes the generic driver specications.
Table 13 Generic Driver Specifications
Specication Value
Active level The active level depends upon the driver:
• Drivers 1 and 3: Low side driver
• Driver 2: Can be congured as either a high side or low side
driver. If Driver 2 is congured as a high side driver, it will not
provide PWM.
Max Current 2A continuous
Frequency 16KHz
Pulse Width Resolution 0.5% minimum over a 2% to 100% duty cycle range (8 bit
resolution)
Maximum Voltage 150% of nominal battery voltage
Maximum Reverse Voltage –0.5V
Logic High Threshold The threshold depends upon the model:
• 1226-2201: 8.1V
• 1226-3101 and 1226-5201: 13.9V
Logic Low Threshold The threshold depends upon the model:
• 1226-2201: 2.2V
• 1226-3101 and 1226-5201: 3.7V
Input Impedance >50K
Throttle Pot
The Analog 1 and Analog 4 inputs provide a potentiometer circuit that includes full pot fault
protection against open or shorted wires anywhere in the throttle assembly.
Both Analog 1 and 4 are used for 3-wire pots. For 2-wire pots, only Analog 1 is used. Table 14
describes how to connect 2-wire and 3-wire pots.
Table 14 Throttle Pot Connections
Pot Type Pins
3-wire pot • J3-7 for the pot wiper (Analog 1)
• J3-16 for pot high (Analog 4)
2-wire pot J3-7 (Analog 1)
You can use Analog 4 as a normal voltage input.
