Setting Up the AlterPath PM
Installation Environment
When installing AlterPath PM, ensure that the following environment
specifications are met.

Environment Factor Recommendation
Temperature
The manufacturer's maximum recommended
ambient temperature for the AlterPath PM is
122 ºF (50 ºC).
Elevated Operating
Ambient Temperature
If the AlterPath PM is installed in a closed or
multi-unit rack assembly, the operating
ambient temperature of the rack environment
may be greater than room ambient
temperature. Therefore, consideration should
be given to installing the equipment in an
environment compatible with the
manufacturer’s maximum rated ambient
temperature. See above.
Reduced Air Flow
Installation of the equipment in a rack should
be such that the amount of air flow required
for safe operation of the equipment is not
compromised.
