2. Enter the save command to save the configuration.
Resetting the Admin Password
In the event the administrator wants to reset the password for the AlterPath
PM (for example, if the administrator forgets the admin password), then the
loopback connector that is shipped with the AlterPath PM can be used for
temporary access to the PM.
T To Reset the Admin Password Using the
Loopback Connector
1. Do one of the following procedures:
a. If you are currently logged into the AlterPath PM as a regular user,
log out by typing exit.
b. If you are already logged into the AlterPath PM as an administrator,
proceed to Step 2.
2. Attach the loopback connector.
Connect the loopback connector shipped with the product to the OUT port
of the AlterPath PM. If necessary, disconnect any cables connected to the
OUT port of the AlterPath PM to allow for the connection of the
loopback.
3. Wait one minute and then check the display.
