FRONT WHEEL/FRONT FORK/STEERING
● Remove the fork tube from the bottom case.
● Remove the piston and rebound spring from the fork
tube.
FRONT FORK
INSPECTION
● Place the fork spring on a level place, and measure the
free length.
● If the free length deviates from the service limit,
replace the spring with a new one.
● Check components for damage or abnormal wear.
Replace defective parts with new ones.
SERVICE LIMIT : 256.0mm
● Place the fork tube on a V-block, and measure
deflection with a dial gauge.
SERVICE LIMIT : Replace if the deflection is greater
than 0.2mm
● Check the slider bush contact face.
● If the slider bush is extensively damaged, replace the
bottom case.
FRONT FORK
ASSEMBLY
● Wash parts with clean oil prior to assembling.
● Assemble the rebound spring and thd fork piston to the
fork tube.
● Assemble the fork tube to the bottom case.
