Steps
1. Align and lower the PEM power board into the system board connector.
2. Press the power board until seated firmly.
3. Insert the PEM power board cover.

Next steps
1. Install the PEM.
2. Connect the UPI and riser cables to the PEM.
3. If removed, install the full length expansion card riser.
NOTE: Before installing the full length expansion card risers, install the GPU air shroud.
4. Install the air shroud or install the GPU air shroud.
5. Install the cooling fan cage assembly.
6. Install the air shroud top cover.
7. Install the support bar.
8. Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
Optional VGA and Serial COM port
In future releases, an optional VGA port will be available only in systems with Direct Liquid Cooling Module.
Removing the VGA and Serial COM port
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the support bar.
4. Remove the air shroud top cover.
5. Remove the cooling fan cage assembly.
6. Remove the air shroud or remove the GPU air shroud.
NOTE: The GPU air shroud can be removed only after the full length expansion card risers have been removed.
7. Remove the expansion card risers or remove the full length expansion card riser.
