CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING SYSTEM
e High Glucose Alert
Estimates of how well the adjustable High Glucose Alert performs are presented in the
table below. For example, if you set the High Glucose Alert to 200 mg/dL, the Seven
System will alert when your glucose levels rise above 200 mg/dL 79% of the time (True
Alert). Additionally, 8% of the time when the alert sounds, the glucose level will actually
be below 200 mg/dL (False Alert).
Seven System Alert Level True Alert Rate* False Alert Rate** Missed Alert Rate***
60 mg/dL 64 % 79 % 36 %
70 mg/dL 68 % 63 % 32 %
80 mg/dL 76 % 45 % 25 %
90 mg/dL 85 % 36 % 15 %
Table 3. Hypoglycemic Alert Evaluation
* True Alert Rate is the % of time when glucose level was at or below the alert setting and the alert sounded.
** False Alert Rate is the % of time when the device alarmed but the blood glucose level was above the alert setting.
*** Missed Alert Rate is the % of time when the device failed to alarm when the blood glucose level was at or below
the alert setting.
Table 4. Hyperglycemic Alert Evaluation
* True Alert Rate is the % of time when glucose level was at or above the alert setting and the alert sounded.
** False Alert Rate is the % of time when the device alarmed but the blood glucose level was below the alert setting.
*** Missed Alert Rate is the % of time when the device failed to alarm when the blood glucose level was at or above
the alert setting.
