CONTINUOUS GLUCOSE MONITORING SYSTEM
1.3 SEVEN TRANSMITTER OVERVIEW
e Transmitter wirelessly sends glucose information collected by your Sensor to your
Receiver. Once you insert your Sensor, you will snap the Transmitter into the Sensor Pod
using the Transmitter Latch. e Transmitter is used for multiple Sensor wear periods.
As your Transmitter nears the end of its useful life, it may periodically lose
communication with the Receiver even if they are within 5 feet (1.5 m) of each other.
Once your Transmitter battery has drained, you will need to replace the Transmitter.
A new Transmitter can easily be programmed to communicate with your Receiver (see
Section 7.3).
NOTE
Little warning is given when your Transmitter battery is fully drained. If you
•
frequently see the Y symbol in the Status Box (or frequently missing from the
lower right corner), this may indicate that your Transmitter Battery is low. Contact
Technical Support at 1-877-DEXCOM4 (339-2664) to order a new Transmitter so you
can continue using your Seven System.
Your Transmitter is used for multiple Seven System monitoring sessions (1-year
•
warranty).
e Receiver and Transmitter are designed and tested to withstand common
•
electromagnetic interference, including airport security systems.
