Exit Command mode
1. Send CN (Exit Command Mode) followed by a carriage return.
or:
2. If the device does not receive any valid AT commands within the time specified byCT
(Command Mode Timeout), it returns to Transparent or API mode. The default Command mode
timeout is10seconds.
For an example of programming the device using AT Commands and descriptions of each configurable
parameter, see AT commands.
Sleep mode
Sleep modes allow the device to enter states of low power consumption when not in use. The XBee-
PRO 900HP RF Module supports both pin sleep (Sleep mode entered on pin transition) and cyclic sleep
(device sleeps for a fixed time).
Sleep modes allow the device to enter states of low power consumption when not in use. The device is
almost completely off during sleep, and is incapable of sending or receiving data until it wakes up.
XBee devices support both pin sleep, where the device enters sleep mode upon pin transition, and
cyclic sleep, where the device sleeps for a fixed time. While asleep, nodes cannot receive RF messages
or read commands from the UART port. For more information, see Sleep modes.
