M8.2-2 Driver output 3 configuration “Drv3Cfg”
This sets the configuration for Driver Output 3.
• If set to 0, standard Power Steer function is assigned to digital output driver 3 (“Pin A17 Contactor 3
o/p (Powersteer - Fan control)”in 35 way connector)
• If set to 1, digital output 3 is activated if motor temperature is higher than threshold “M8.2-3 Motor
temperature threshold “MotTmpTh”” and deactivated when motor temperature gets lower than
threshold “M8.2-3 Motor temperature threshold “MotTmpTh””- 8 °C of hysteresis.
• If set to 2, digital output 3 is activated if controller temperature is higher than threshold “M8.2-4
Controller temperature threshold “CtrTmpTh””, and deactivated when controller temperature gets
lower than threshold “M8.2-4 Controller temperature threshold “CtrTmpTh””- 8 °C of hysteresis .
• If set to 3, digital output 3 is activated if motor temperature is higher than threshold “M8.2-3 Motor
temperature threshold “MotTmpTh”” OR if controller temperature is higher than threshold “M8.2-4
Controller temperature threshold “CtrTmpTh””, while it is deactivated when motor temperature gets
lower than threshold “M8.2-3 Motor temperature threshold “MotTmpTh””- 8 °C of hysteresis AND
controller temperature gets lower than threshold “M8.2-4 Controller temperature threshold
“CtrTmpTh””- 8 °C of hysteresis.
• If set to 4, No function will be assigned to digital output 3. Under this condition, the output is available
to be driven Via CAN. The user is therefore free to map in a CAN message (see [1] for details) the
command to autonomously switch on and off the output.
M8.2-3 Motor temperature threshold “MotTmpTh”
M8.2-4 Controller temperature threshold “CtrTmpTh”
These two settings represent the temperature thresholds to drive output 2 and/or 3 according to setting “M8.2-
1 Driver output 2 configuration for traction“Drv2Cfg”” and “M8.2-2 Driver output 3 configuration “Drv3Cfg””.
M8.2-5 Digital output 2 pull-in voltage ”Do2PlInV”
It sets the Digital Output 2 pull in voltage applied for 1s.
If this parameter is set to its maximum value (i.e. the nominal battery voltage for each Simga2NController size),
the actual battery voltage will be applied, even if it is higher than the nominal battery voltage.
Example:
Nominal battery voltage = 48V, Parameter set to 48V, Actual battery voltage = 52V. The applied voltage is 52V.
Nominal battery voltage = 48V, Parameter set to 47V, Actual battery voltage = 52V. The applied voltage is 47V.
Be aware that this setting has to be set higher or equal to “M8.2-6 Digital output 2 holding voltage
”Do2HoldV””. If not a failure F7 S333 will occur.
M8.2-6 Digital output 2 holding voltage ”Do2HoldV”
It sets the Digital Output 2 holding voltage applied when the line contactor is closed and 1 s of time is elapsed.
M8.2-7 Digital output 3 pull-in voltage ”Do3PlInV”
It sets the Digital Output 3 pull in voltage applied for 1s.
Be aware that this setting has to be set higher or equal to “M8.2-8 Digital output 3 holding voltage
”Do3HoldV””.
If not a failure F7 S335 will occur.
