BATTERY DISCONNECT SWITCH
The battery box is typically located on the streetside of the
chassis frame near the front of the body, however it can be
mounted at a different location on different chassis.
Become familiar with the location of the battery box and
battery disconnect switch on your unit.
1. You must turn the battery disconnect switch to the
OFF position whenever the unit is shut off for any
length of time – especially when the unit will be left
unattended.
2. You must turn the battery disconnect switch to the
ON position whenever you will use the unit.
3. You must check the position of the battery
disconnect switch as part of the daily inspection.
Battery cables must be securely anchored and not rubbing
other equipment. Cable insulation must be free of damage
and abrasion. Inspect weekly.
