Set the Stack Method.
• Oset Stacking Mode( )
Shift the paper to the left and right for each set. This mode is appropriate for dividing sheets into
subsets.
• Straight Stacking Mode ( )
All sheets are stacked normally.
A. Sorting Mode
If performing sorting of A4/LT paper, place the paper vertically. A4/LT paper conveyed sideways cannot
be sorted. When the paper is thicker than 157 g/m
2
, the paper size that can be sorted is between A4/LT
(210 x 297 mm/8.5 x 11 inches) and A3/LD (297 x 420 mm/11 x 17 inches).
The following describes sorting operations using A3 paper as an example.
1) Set the paper receiving method to “Sorting”.
2) Set the conveyance speed to 1.
• Normally set to “1”.
When using less than ve sheets of ne
quality paper (less than 51.4 g/m

) or
coated paper (less than 84.9 g/m
2
), if the
leading edge of the paper does not t
below the paper receiving guide 3, set
the conveyance speed to 2.
3) Move the side guide B in the arrow direc-
tion.
4) Set paper receiving stopper 3 to paper re-
ceiving stopper 1.
5) Adjust paper receiving stopper 1 to paper size.
6) Adjust paper receiving stopper 2 to paper size.
