Programming the 3102 and 3105 using HART
F.3.2 Tag (P001)
This is for editing an electronic ‘label’ of up to 8 characters for the transmitter. The tag is
typically a reference number, location, or duty description.
Field Communicator or AMS Device Manager
To view or change the tag
1. From the Home screen, select 2: Configure.
2. Select 2: Manual Setup.
3. Select 4: HART / Identity (3105) or
5: HART / Identity (3102).
4. Select 1: Identity, and then select 1: Tag P001.
5. If required:
(a) Input the new tag, and then select “ENTER” to save it.
(b) Select “Send” or “Apply” to update the transmitter.
Rosemount 3490 Series Control Unit
To view or change the tag
1. From the Main Menu screen, select SETUP.
2. Select the transmitter (e.g. “Tx1: 3102”).
3. Select DUTY, and then select IDENTITY.
4. Select Tag.
5. Follow on-screen instructions to input and save the tag.
6. Select “Quit” to exit to the previous menu.
