2.3.4 Transfer (Drum Paper)
In transfer process, the toner images formed on the drums are transferred to a paper.
Toner image is transferred in the order Y, M, C, and K.
BTR
BTR (Bias Transfer Roll) is a conductive roll and is supplied high positive voltage
from the HVPS. The BTR contacts back side of the Transfer Belt and applies
positive voltage to the belt.
Transfer Belt
Transfer Belt is a conductive belt that is charged positively with the BTR.
Negatively-charged toner image on the drum surface jumps to the positively-
charged Transfer Belt and the image is formed on the paper. The Transfer Belt
then carries the paper to the FUSER UNIT.
Roll ESA (Electric Static Attachment)
Roll ESA is a conductive roller that receives positive voltage from HVPS and
discharge the voltage to a paper to improve efficiency of the toner transfer.
