2.5.6.1 Part Names and Functions
CONNECTOR CRUM* (CRUM Sensor)
As IMAGING CARTRIDGE is attached to CRUM Sensor, the sensor contacts
CRUM in IMAGING CARTRIDGE and read/write the data concerning CRUM.
* : Customer Replaceable Unit Memory: stores information specific to the
printer.
SENSOR PHOTO (Toner Cartridge SENSOR Y/M/C/K)
Detects IMAGING CARTRIDGE presence.
DISPENSER ASSY (Dispense Motor) (Y/M/C/K)
Dispense motor provides drive force to Agitator and Auger in IMAGING
CARTRIDGE, and supplies toner to the development section inside IMAGING
CARTRIDGE.
IMAGING CARTRIDGE (Y)/IMAGING CARTRIDGE (M)/IMAGING
CARTRIDGE (C)/IMAGING CARTRIDGE (K)
IMAGING CARTRIDGE consists of toner cartridge, development section, and
drum.
LED ASSY (Erase Lamp)
LED Assy consists of four Erase Lamps that corresponds with the drums (Y, M, C,
and K). LED light irradiates the drum through the lens of IMAGING
CARTRIDGE.
LED light removes electrical charge on the drum surface.
