2.5.4.2 TRANSFER UNIT Details
The TRANSFER UNIT mainly consists of the components shown below:
Transfer Belt
Transfer Belt transfers paper towards FUSER UNIT.
ADC Sensor
ADC Sensor reads the toner patch on the Transfer Belt at the window position and
converts the data to voltage value. The voltage value is used to control toner
density.
ADC Solenoid
Turning on ADC Solenoid activates PAD ADC and wipe off dirt on ADC Sensor.
ADC Sensor turns on for a certain period of time and activates PAD ADC before
reading toner patch.
Roll ESA (Electric Static Attachment)
Roll ESA discharges positive voltage to paper. Discharging the voltage improves
efficiency of the toner transfer.
