Using the background monitoring icon
A printer-shaped background monitoring icon appears on the
taskbar whenever the background monitoring feature is
enabled.
Double-clicking the background monitoring icon opens the
EPSON Status Monitor 2 window. Right-clicking this icon
opens a pop-up menu where you can choose whether the
Status Alert dialog box will appear in front of other windows
on the desktop. This pop-up menu also allows you to turn off
background monitoring.
If you turn off background monitoring, the background
monitoring icon disappears from the taskbar. To turn
background monitoring back on, open the EPSON Status
Monitor 2 window from
Start
, point to
Background
Monitoring
on the Settings menu, and click
Monitor from
restart
or
Monitor now
.
Note:
The background monitoring feature must be turned on before you can set
monitoring preferences for printers in the Installed Printers list.
