4. Set the paper release lever to the single-sheet position.

Improving Continuous Paper Handling
To reduce the chances of paper jams and improve the
performance of continuous paper, you can install the optional
additional tractor and then use two tractor units at the same
time. Using two tractors at once is recommended for printing
on continuous pre-printed forms, multi-part forms, and labels,
and for printing the highest quality graphics.
Also, if you install the tractors in the front and rear push
positions, you can load two types of continuous paper at the
same time and switch between them by moving the paper
release lever. To load two types of continuous paper, see
“Loading paper with the front push tractor” on page 3-7, and
“Loading paper with the rear push tractor” on page 3-13.
