4.4.21.2 Checking of CD-R Guide Assy
After installing the CD-R Guide Assy, operate the CD-R Guide Assy several times and
check that it is locked properly and it operates smoothly.
Check for any of the following problems and make a necessary correction:
The CD-R torsion springs (x2) have not been installed properly. (See Figure 4-71)
The EJ frame torsion springs (x2) have not been installed properly. (See Figure
4-71)
Not all the shanks of the CD-R Guide Assy and EJ Frame Assy are located properly in
the guide holes in the Right and Left Racks and EJ Links.
(See Figure 4-72)
The CD-R Link Lever does not operate properly. (See Figure 4-73)
The CD-R Shaft is not exactly horizontal. (See Figure 4-74)
The CD-R latches are not located properly.
(The tips of the latches must press on the EJ Frame Assy.)
The right and left block levers are laid rearward. (See Figure 4-77)

If the CD-R Guide Assy does not operate properly even after
checking and correction above, disassemble the following
assemblies again, and reassemble them after applying grease to the
specified parts.

With the CD-R Guide Assy drawn out, check the positions of the shaft
grooves in the Right and Left Racks and the position of the shaft.
