5.5 Uploading Firmware
5.5.1 Overview
Stylus Photo RX700 has two types of firmware. Update the two types of firmware in
succession from a memory card.
 Things to be prepared
 Memory card (CF recommended)
 Firmware files
Note : “***” represents the version.
5.5.2 Upload Procedure
Insert the memory card containing the firmware files into the Stylus Photo RX700 with
the power turned off, and turn the power on while holding down the following buttons.
Then the firmware will automatically be uploaded.
[Fun] + [B&W] + [Color] + [Power]
At the occurrence of an error, the operation stops with FUN LED lighting up. In this
case, press the OK button to turn the power off.

 The firmware files are supplied with the following file names
containing the version number. Before uploading, rename the
files.
64-Mbit file: SW***.dat → FWE55TL1.dat
32-Mbit file: WS***.dat → FWE55TL2.dat
 Copy the two files above into the root of the memory card.
 We can confirm the firmware version owing to the first line of
the nozzle check pattern.
