Throttle Actuator
The throttle actuator converts electronic signals
from the ESM into the mechanical motion required
to move the throttle of the outboard.
If the throttle actuator sensor cannot determine
throttle position, all LED indicators flash until con-
trol levers and shift actuators are in NEUTRAL.
Then, the NEUTRAL indicator LED for the engine
that has a fault flashes. The EMM:
If the throttle cannot move toward open position,
the FORWARD or REVERSE indicator LED
flashes (depending on gear position when fault
occurred).
If the throttle cannot move toward closed position,
all LED indicators flash until control levers and
shift actuators are in NEUTRAL.
Then, the NEUTRAL indicator LED for the engine
that has a fault flashes. The EMM:
ICON System Failsafe Mode
Fault code 108 will appear with another code that
explains why the engine(s) entered RPM reduc-
tion. The EMM:
