Installing or Upgrading EXFO Applications
All the necessary applications have been preinstalled and configured at the
factory. However, you may have to upgrade some applications when new
versions become available.
Each time you purchase a new module, it could be a good idea to verify
that the most recent version of its dedicated application is installed on your
unit.
EXFO Software Update allows you to check for updates, download these
updates and install them on your unit. It replaces the former Update
Manager application. If EXFO Software Update is not already available on
your unit (shortcut not present on the Windows desktop), you can
download it from the EXFO Web site and install it on your unit.
In addition to managing the updates of module and instrument
applications, EXFO Software Update also manages its own updates when
new versions become available (no need to download subsequent
versions of this application yourself from EXFO Apps).
Note: Your unit must have access to an Internet connection to be able to use
EXFO Software Update.
