Internal cooling water pump
The diesel motor cooling water pump (see
arrow) aids the circulation of the internal
freshwater system.

De-aerating screw cooling water pump
The de-aerating screw above the cooling
water pump casing may not be opened,
whilst the generator is running. If this
occurs by mistake, air will be drawn
through the opening. Extensive ventilation
of the whole system is then necessary.

De-aerating screw thermostat housing
The de-aerating screw on the thermostat
housing should occasionally be opened
for control purposes. Standing machinery
should principally carry out ventilating.
