Description of the Instrument
2.3.2 Base and Calibration Standards
A so-called base is used for the normalization; for the corrective calibration,
one, two or three calibration standards are used in addition to the base.
Different calibration standards (corrective sets) are available for the correc-
tive calibration of the instrument for the different measurement ranges.
Fig. 2-4 Calibration standard set (example)
You can obtain information about available single calibration standards
and a calibration standard set from FISCHER or from your authorized sup-
plier.
The measurements for the corrective calibration must be performed on the
base and on the calibration standard! Measurements on the plastic sur-
rounding the base or calibration standard will lead to erroneous measure-
ments.
The measurements for the normalization and for the calibration should be
made within a radius of 10 mm from the center of the base or the calibra-
tion standard, respectively.
