Enter the “ethernet” or “modem” connection type:
For an ethernet conguration, make sure the IP parameters are compatible with server access according
to the concentrator local network conguration. For an ethernet connection, the conguration must
be compatible with the concentrator’s local network topology so that it can access the servers. This
conguration is done from the “Networks” conguration page (see section 3.2.2.3: “Networks”).
For a modem connection, the modem conguration must be correct before a connection can be set up.
This conguration is done from the “Modem” conguration page (see section 3.2.2.4: “Modem”). The
parameters for the servers to be congured are at least the following:
Therefore the following elds need to be congured: “Interface”, “Type”, “Server type”, Address”, “Port”,
“Login” and “Password”. The other elds can be left at the default values subject to the directories having
been properly created beforehand. See section 3.1.2: “Conguration les” for more details.
Text message conguration: text message conguration requires sending the following
commands:
apn: to congure the SIM card APN. (see section 5.3.6: ““apn” modem conguration
command).
apn <apn> <login> <password>
ftp: to congure the FTP server that will contain the concentration conguration (see
section 5.3.7: ““ftp” FTP/SFTP conguration command”).
ftp <server> <login> <password> <port> <interface>
connect: to launch the connection to the FTP server and load the conguration (see
section 5.3.1: ““connect” connection command.
