Enter the “ethernet” or “modem” connection type:
For an ethernet conguration, make sure the IP parameters are compatible with server access according
to the concentrator local network conguration. For an ethernet connection, the conguration must
be compatible with the concentrator’s local network topology so that it can access the servers. This
conguration is done from the “Networks” conguration page (see section 3.2.2.3: “Networks”).
For a modem connection, the modem conguration must be correct before a connection can be set up.
This conguration is done from the “Modem” conguration page (see section 3.2.2.4: “Modem”). The
parameters for the servers to be congured are at least the following:
Therefore the following elds need to be congured: “Interface”, “Type”, “Server type”, “Address”, “Port”,
“Login” and “Password”. The other elds can be left at the default values subject to the directories having
been properly created beforehand. See section 3.1.2: “Conguration les” for more details.
• Text message conguration: text message conguration requires sending the following

command).
apn <apn> <login> <password>
• ftp: to congure the FTP server that will contain the concentration conguration (see
section 5.3.7: ““ftp” FTP/SFTP conguration command”).
ftp <server> <login> <password> <port> <interface>
• connect: to launch the connection to the FTP server and load the conguration (see
section 5.3.1: ““connect” connection command.
